Washington, D.C. – “Twenty-five years ago today, 241 American servicemen tragically perished in one of the most deadly terrorist strikes against U.S. Armed Services personnel in modern history.  America is eternally indebted to these servicemen and women for the ultimate sacrifice they made on behalf of their country and for the advancement of peace.

“As we remember those brave and courageous Americans victimized by the Beirut bombing, it is essential that we continue to extend our thanks and gratitude to all our veterans and troops currently defending our freedoms and democratic way of life.  Our heroic servicemen and women have dedicated their lives to defending our country and I will always honor and admire them for their steadfast commitment and selfless dedication to keeping America safe.”
