 “I am delighted and extremely grateful that my colleagues on the Democratic Steering Committee have entrusted me with the great responsibility of serving on the U.S. House of Representatives Science and Technology Committee.

“Scientific and technological innovation is what helps drive our economy.  But research and development does not occur in a vacuum, it must be supported by wise federal policies.  That’s why I will use my seat on this prestigious committee to support sound legislative initiatives that will enable America to continue to be a pro-active global leader in the advancing fields of research, science, and engineering.”
