“Earlier this week, President Obama once again made history by introducing Judge Sonia Sotomayor as his nominee to replace Justice David Souter on the U.S. Supreme Court. When her appointment is confirmed by the Senate, Judge Sotomayor will become the first Hispanic American and the third woman to sit on our nation’s highest court. I am confident that with her first-rate education and inspiring life story, Judge Sotomayor will provide a unique perspective to the most consequential legal issues.
