CARSON STATEMENT ON PRESIDENT OBAMA’S DEFICIT REDUCTION PROPOSAL 

INDIANAPOLIS – Congressman André Carson today released the following statement on President Obama’s deficit reduction proposal.

“The best way to reduce our deficit is to get Americans working again. That is why creating jobs must be our focus in Congress. President Obama’s American Jobs Act is an important step toward making that happen and I commend him for coming forward with his plan to reduce our deficit without ending critical investments and destroying our nation’s promise to our seniors. 

“While some of my Republican colleagues may feel more comfortable protecting millionaires as the vast majority of Americans are struggling to make ends meet, I choose to stand with Hoosier families and the men and women of the 7th District who are paying their fair share.”
