Democrats’ Investing in America agenda is paying off for thousands of hardworking families.
Thanks to legislation we passed when Democrats last held the majority, middle class Americans are benefitting from cost savings. Unfortunately, partisan politics and in-fighting has created a standstill in Congress this year.
Each year, I fight to bring federal funding directly to Indianapolis organizations making a positive impact on our community. This program, called Community Project Funding, has helped our roads, our public transit, our schools, and our families.
Mr. Speaker, I want to make it clear: I have condemned Hamas for their heinous attacks on civilians and call for an immediate release of the Israeli hostages. I continue to call for the safety of all civilians in the Middle East.

Mr. CARSON of Indiana. Mr. Speaker, I am introducing the Transition-To-Success Mentoring Act to help local education agencies prepare at-risk students for the transition from middle school to high school.
Mr. Speaker, I am proud, as the longest serving Muslim in Congress, to in- troduce legislation to recognize the com- mencement of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal, and wish Muslims around the world a Ramadan Mubarak!
Mr. CARSON. Mr. Speaker, today I rise to acknowledge a fellow Midwesterner and former colleague from the state of Michigan, Bob Carr, on his 80th birthday. Bob has spent a lifetime in public service and education and continues to have a lasting impact on our insti- tution.
Mr. Speaker, today I am re- introducing the Emerging Business Encouragement Act which will give new small businesses a more equal playing field to secure federal contracts.

In March of 2010, the Affordable Care Act, or “Obamacare,” was signed into law. 14 years later, it’s still making an impact.
Happy International Women’s Day and Women's History Month! Women have always shaped our society, but their accomplishments are often minimized or excluded from history. Women’s History Month is about highlighting and celebrating those successes, but it’s also about recognizing the ways women experience unequal treatment so that we can begin to make progress.
