August 3, 2012 75 Employers to Participate in Congressman Carson’s Central Indiana Job Fair
INDIANAPOLIS – 75 employers offering over 1,000 available positions will participate in this year’s Central Indiana Job Fair on Tuesday, August 7th, at Ivy Tech’s Illinois Fall Creek Center.
The job fair, hosted by Congressman André Carson in cooperation with Ivy Tech Community College, comes as unemployment in Marion County remains above 8% and the number of unemployed Indianapolis residents sits in the tens of thousands.
“Far too many Hoosiers are out of work and struggling to make ends meet,” said Congressman Carson. “Addressing this challenge must be a priority. We need to connect job-seekers with employers as quickly as possible, and my Central Indiana Job Fair does just that.”
In addition to connecting job-seekers with a variety of position types and employers, Congressman Carson’s Central Indiana Job Fair will include a Career Resource Center that assists participants with resume writing and interview skills.
Preregistration is not required for job-seekers.
