  • Rep. Carson speaks out against GOP tax plan

    Congressman Carson voted against the Republican tax cut for the wealthy recently. This bill would provide a massive tax cut for big corporations and the wealthy while raising taxes for 86 million middle class families and increasing the deficit by more than $1.5 trillion. Because the tax bill is unpaid for, federal law requires cuts to programs Americans depend on to pay for these tax cuts for the rich, including a $25 billion cut to Medicare.

  • Rep. Carson helps bring Red Line to Indianapolis

    A $1 trillion spending agreement signed by Congress includes $50 million for the Red Line, a north-south bus rapid transit project in Indianapolis. Carson, a member of the House Transportation Committee, fought for the Red Line for a long time, including through regular contact with appropriators in Congress and Administration officials.
