  • Rep. Carson helps secure funding for Bean Center in Indianapolis

    The Transportation and Infrastructure Committee recently approved Rep. Carson's FPS legislation. The Carson FPS provisions were included in Sections 12 and 13 of H.R. 6194, the Real Estate Assets and Leasing Reform (REAL) Act. This bill reforms programs at the General Services Administration (GSA)’s Public Building Service, which manages federal buildings across the country. The Committee approved $45,950,000 for repairs, renovations and upgrades to safety systems at the Bean Federal Center in Indianapolis, which is the second largest federal building in the country.
  • President Trump Signs Rep. Carson’s Kennedy-King Establishment Act Into Law

    Recently, President Trump signed into law H.R. 4851, the Kennedy-King Establishment Act of 2018, legislation introduced by Congressman André Carson and co-sponsored by Congresswoman Susan Brooks (R-IN). This legislation officially recognizes MLK Park in Indianapolis where Senator Robert F. Kennedy delivered a timeless speech on the day Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated, and establishes the site as a part of the newly created U.S. Civil Rights Network.
