Washington, DC - Today I voted against a stop-gap bill to fund the government for two weeks. While avoiding a government shutdown is critical, I cast my vote in the hope that Congress will act to pass a responsible and long overdue FY 2018 spending bill, and provide funding for key, time-sensitive programs that we have yet to address.
