Congressman André Carson Honors Kids' Voice of Indiana as an 'Angels in Adoption' Awardee
Indianapolis, IN - Congressman André Carson (IN-07), along with the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, recently recognized Kids' Voice of Indiana, as a 2018 Angels in Adoption™ awardee for its work in improving the lives of Hoosier children.
Every year, members of Congress nominate an individual, family or organization to be recognized for demonstrating a commitment to improving the lives of children in need of permanent, loving homes. Carson nominated Kids’ Voice of Indiana for the work they do to protect endangered children through legal education, child advocacy and visitation.
“Too many families are suffering from domestic violence and substance abuse,” said Congressman André Carson. “This can lead to children being put into harm’s way and needing an advocate for their best interests. Kids’ Voice of Indiana works to promote and represent the best interest of children and serve as an advocate for them and their families. I am honored to recognize them as this year’s ‘Angels in Adoption,’ and feel blessed to have their support in our community.”
The Angels in Adoption award was started in 1999. Since then, nearly 2,000 have been named, including: Muhammad Ali, former First Lady Laura Bush, Patti LaBelle, Al Roker, the Hallmark Channel, and People Magazine.
