Youth Opportunities Fair 2026

My Youth Opportunities Fair will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at the Ivy Tech Community College Culinary and Conference Center from 4-7pm. The event connects Central Indiana Hoosiers to a variety of summer programs as well as year-round and summer employment, internship, and volunteer opportunities for youth of all ages. It is free to attend, and pre-registration is not required.
Who Should Attend:
- Non-working Youth: Participants under the working age of 14 can connect with local service providers offering summer and year-round programs, as well as volunteer opportunities designed for young people of all ages.
- Working Youth: Teens and young adults can connect with job, internship, and volunteer opportunities.
Tips for Success For Jobseekers:
- Before the Fair:
- Create and make copies of your resume.
- Dress to impress to make a good first impression.
- Bring a pen and paper to take notes.
- Practice what you will say if an employer asks: “Tell me about yourself?
- At The Fair:
- Talk with as many organizations as you can and get business cards for follow up.
- Smile, make eye contact, and shake hands when approaching an organization.
- Take notes on the organizations that most interest you.
- Register with organizers to stay in touch about future events.
- After the Fair:
- Follow up with the organizations that most interest you.
