CHUCKSTRONG: Coach Pagano Inspires Our Colts and Hoosiers Everywhere

Every so often, there are trials and tribulations in professional sports that go well beyond winning and losing, and in Indianapolis, we are seeing that first hand. As many of you know, Colts Coach Chuck Pagano was recently diagnosed with leukemia, and in the weeks since, has received immeasurable support from not only the team, but fans all over the world. After weeks of uncertainty, I was overjoyed to hear that the Coach's chemotherapy treatments have been effective, and that his cancer is now in remission.

Following the Colts' come-from-behind win last Sunday, Coach Pagano joined his team in the locker room, and offered an inspiring speech that challenged them to "live in vision, not in circumstance."
His is a story we can all learn from, and our community remains Chuckstrong as he works his way back to full recovery.

Economic Recovery Continues

For the thirty-second consecutive month, our economy continues to improve and thousands of jobs are being created. Since President Obama took office, 5 million jobs have been created, surpassing the four million jobs that were lost at the height of the Great Recession.
The October Jobs Report brings more great news, but there is still much to do. Far too many Americans are unemployed or underemployed and are struggling to make ends meet. I want the people of the 7th District of Indiana to know, I remain committed to working with my colleagues, Republican and Democrat, to find common sense solutions that ensure our economy continues on the path to recovery.
