"Bidenomics"
In June, we created 209,000 jobs – a total of 13.2 million jobs since President Biden took office.
Not only have we regained all the jobs lost during the pandemic, we’ve also created 4 million more, including over 1.5 million jobs in manufacturing, construction, and research and development.
More Americans are joining the labor force, with the highest share of working-age Americans in the workforce in over 20 years. Unemployment is down, and it has been for some time. Unemployment has sat at under 4 percent for 17 months in a row – the longest stretch in over 50 years.
I’m optimistic about the future, and you should be too. And we have Democratic policies to thank.
“Bidenomics” works because it’s growing our economy from the middle out and bottom up, not the top down. Here’s what Bidenomics means:
- Making smart investments in America. We’ve made historic investments in our infrastructure, manufacturing, and clean energy, and it’s paying off.
- Empowering American workers. By increasing wages, educating and training workers, and supporting unions, more Americans are joining the workforce, making the workforce shortage from 2 years back a distant memory.
- Promoting competition to lower costs and help small businesses. Fighting to ban non-compete agreements, cracking down on junk fees, and creating a level playing field for small businesses ensures everyone gets a fair shot.
Success Story of the Week:
“People don't have to be nice, but it is truly amazing when they are.Congressman Carson's staff went above and beyond to help our daughter travel with
our touring choir for the summer. Kathy even provided updates on a holiday weekend. These updates included personal phone calls. We are thankful!”
