I wanted to send a note to thank you for being part of the Indianapolis community.

As your Congressman, I’ll continue to fight for what our community needs: better jobs, better infrastructure, and better funding for the neighborhood-led organizations that make our city what it is.

In the coming weeks and into the New Year, I’m excited to share more about what the future holds. Despite a tumultuous year in Congress – including unprecedented fights for Speaker of the House, a potential government shutdown, and the expelling of a Member of Congress for the first time in 50 years – I’m determined to keep putting People Over Politics.

What does putting People Over Politics look like? For starters, it means putting your hard-earned tax dollars back in the community, not lining the pockets of billionaires. Thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law – which I championed and voted for – to date, Indiana will receive over $4.6 billion to address our aging infrastructure. That means repairing our roads, bridges, sidewalks, and improving our water systems.

This year, we achieved a long fought-for goal: capping the price of insulin at $35 a month for seniors. It's all thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, which House Democrats passed and President Biden signed into law last year. The high cost of prescription drugs is something we’ll continue working on. This month, President Biden announced new actions to promote competition in health care and support lowering prescription drug costs for American families. It's time we take on Big Pharma and finally make our healthcare system fair for everyone.

Along with other initiatives like the Affordable Connectivity Program to save money on your internet bill and the Low Income Home Energy Program to save money on your heating bill, we’ll keep delivering for the everyday, middle class Americans who make our country so great.

I hope you have a happy, safe, and peaceful holiday.
