Surface Transportation Reauthorization and Reform Act of 2015, will provide $325 billion over the next six years to pay for needed upgrades to our highway, rail, street and other important infrastructure projects. This legislation represents a true compromise between Democrats and Republicans and will provide the certainty needed to focus on rebuilding our roads, repairing our bridges and spurring job creation for all Hoosiers.

As the Ranking Member of the Emergency Management Subcommittee, I am pleased that two of my amendments were included in the final bill. One improves the cost and delivery of emergency vehicles, the other corrects the Federal Aid-Highway Program to ensure economically distressed communities are prioritized.

Now that the House has passed the bill, the Senate and House Conference Committee will resolve differences between the two chambers so final legislation can be to sent to the President.
