One year without rights.

Women in America today have less rights than they did 50 years ago.

Last year, the Dobbs v. Jackson decision overturning Roe v. Wade triggered an avalanche of harm, chaos, and confusion, leaving millions of Americans without abortion access.

We should never have to mark a day when a fundamental freedom was taken away. And yet, here we are.

Despite this devastating blow to reproductive health and freedom, one constant remains true: I will continue to fight. Along with my colleagues in the Pro-Choice Caucus, I will continue to use every tool at our disposal to force action on this issue.

Together, we are demanding a vote on the Women’s Health Protection Act on the House floor, to restore the national right to abortion.

Although this is a somber day for our nation, I urge my colleagues to continue speaking out. I urge all Members of Congress to continue the fight for reproductive freedom.

With lives on the line, I will not stop.
