ADVISORY: Congressman André Carson Partners with Local Schools for 16th Annual Valentines for Vets
Indianapolis, IN - Congressman Carson and staff will deliver valentines to local veterans at the Indianapolis VA medical center this Friday. Children from several schools in Wayne, Lawrence, and Decatur Townships along with students from Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) prepared the valentines expressing their gratitude to those who have served in our armed forces.
Since being elected to office, Congressman Carson has continued the annual tradition of Valentines for Vets, started 16 years ago by the late Congresswoman Julia Carson. The event provides an opportunity to teach young people about the importance of thanking our service men and women.
