CARSON, COMMUNITY LEADERS TO BREAK GROUND ON MASS AVE DEVELOPMENT

Facility brings affordable housing, increased economic development opportunities

INDIANAPOLIS - Congressman André Carson will join Riley Area Development Corp., Monument Realty and community leaders for the groundbreaking of the Trail Side on Mass Ave at 1 p.m. Thursday.

The $10 million, multi-use facility on the Indianapolis Cultural Trail brings together multiple government and community partners to increase affordable housing and economic development opportunities in Indianapolis.

Representatives from the following organizations also are expected to attend: Indiana Housing and Community Development, Indiana Housing Authority, Indiana Historic Preservation Commission, Center Township Trustee, Alliant Capital, Mass Ave Merchants Association, National Bank of Indianapolis, Housing and Urban Development, Monument Construction and A2SO4 Architecture.

WHAT: Groundbreaking event will include project details and unveil the design for the four-story facility to be built along the Cultural Trail at the east end of Mass Ave.
