Carson to Join SBA Deputy-Administrator for Small Business Roundtable

INDIANAPOLIS - Congressman André Carson will join U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Deputy Administrator Marie Johns on Wednesday to conduct a roundtable discussion with area small business owners.

Congressman Carson and Deputy Administrator Johns will be joined by leaders of local, women-owned small businesses to discuss the opportunities and assistance that is available through the SBA for expanding their companies. They also will discuss the importance of small businesses in growing this economic recovery and what needs to be done to help foster business growth. Upon completion of the discussion Johns and Congressman Carson will conduct a media availability with some of the participating businesses.

Johns, a long-time small business advocate, is an Indianapolis native and the second-highest ranking official at SBA, with major responsibility for management, policy development and program supervision.
