Carson on Obama National Security Team

December 1, 2008

Washington, D.C. – "With the recent Mumbai terrorist attacks, American involvement in two wars and the continuing threat of global terror networks, it is apparent that the United States needs a new national security apparatus that will better secure our homeland, safeguard our citizenry and protect our national security interests. The individuals selected by President-elect Obama to serve on his national security team bring a broad wealth of knowledge and experience that will be vitally important in strengthening America's security and renewing our nation's image abroad.

"I salute President-elect Obama's conscientious and assiduous decision in assembling a national security team that will seek to successfully combat extremist groups, strengthen American diplomacy and solidify our nation's Armed Forces."
