CARSON STATEMENT ON OCTOBER JOBS REPORT
INDIANAPOLIS - Congressman André Carson today released the following statement after today's announcement by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics that the private sector added 159,000 jobs in October, marking the tenth consecutive month of private sector growth.

"Today's jobs report is encouraging news as our nation continues to create new jobs. So far this year, the private sector has added 1.1 million jobs. While unemployment remains unacceptably high, I am confident that the policies enacted by this Congress have helped turn our economy around and put Hoosiers back to work.
"As we prepare for the 112th Congress, it is my hope that the new leadership strives to work together on policies that help small businesses grow, bolster job creation and keep our economy on track for a full and robust recovery."
