Carson Statement on President Trump's New Muslim Ban Executive Order

Washington, DC – Today, Rep. André Carson (D-IN), the first Muslim Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, issued the following statement after President Trump signed a new executive order banning Muslims and refugees from six countries from entering the United States:

"Earlier today, the Trump Administration doubled down on its anti-Muslim bigotry by issuing another Muslim ban. I didn't agree with version one and I don't agree with today's version. While this ban has some minor tweaks from the previous ban, it is just as egregious. I stand by my initial concerns and ask Trump to rescind this latest Executive Order."
