Congressman André Carson to speak during MLK celebration at Indiana State Capitol

INDIANAPOLIS - Congressman André Carson will speak tomorrow during the 23rd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Indiana Holiday Celebration. The event will include the unveiling of a bronze bust honoring Congressman Carson's grandmother, Julia Carson, who was the first African American and first woman to represent the 7^th Congressional District of Indiana.

The Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Indiana Holiday Celebration is hosted by the Indiana Civil Rights Commission and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Indiana Holiday Commission.

WHERE: Rotunda at the Indiana State Capitol, 200 West Washington Street

**The unveiling will take place at approximately 1:30PM, and Congressman Carson will be speaking at approximately 1:40PM.
