Congressman Carson to Host Community Forum: “Green Jobs - Reviving Our Economy And Restoring Our Environment”

Washington, D.C. – Congressman André Carson will host a community forum focusing on "Green Jobs - Reviving our Economy and Restoring our Environment" this Saturday, September 13th from 10 – 11:30 am. The discussion will take place at Keep Indianapolis Beautiful Headquarters, located at 1029 Fletcher Ave.

"As our nation faces such a critical time both economically and environmentally, we need real solutions for the issues that face all Americans. By investing in the green economy, we can start the transition to a more stable, highly prosperous and low-carbon economy," declared Congressman Carson. "I am excited to bring together a variety of knowledgeable panelists to talk about a new green jobs report that shows how we can move our economy forward by creating jobs here in America for American workers while getting America off of our foreign oil addiction and cleaning up our environment."

The forum will focus on how investing in energy efficiency and renewable energy can create many new jobs here in the United States and in Indiana. Congressman Carson and the additional panelists will provide brief updates and participate in a question and answer session with members of the Indianapolis community.
