Rep. Carson Statement on the Release of 28 Pages from 9/11 Report

July 15, 2016

Washington, DC - Today, Rep. Carson voted to approve the publication of a newly declassified section of the 2002 Joint Congressional Inquiry into Intelligence Community activities before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001. Since the report was made public, the American people have been looking for the release of these 28 pages to better understand how and why this tragedy occurred. While many of the claims were unverified and prompted more complete vetting by the Intelligence Community, this release remains an important step for transparency.
