WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Rudy Yakym (R-IN-02) and Congressman André Carson (D-IN-07) introduced the “Safeguarding Americans from Fraudulent and Experimental (SAFE) Drugs Act of 2025” (H.R. 6509) to protect patients from untested, unapproved, and potentially dangerous mass compounded drugs.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman André Carson (IN-07) announced his selection as the top Democrat on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Aviation, to serve as the Ranking Member.  This leadership role encompasses the Subcommittee’s oversight of all aspects of civil aviation, including safety, airport infrastructure, labor, international issues, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

WASHINGTON, DC—As Congress enters the fourth week of a government shutdown, Congressman André Carson (IN-07) is calling on the House of Representatives to return to pass the Aviation Funding Stability Act of 2025. This bill – co-led by Congressman Carson and Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) – would ensure air traffic controllers are paid on time and protect other essential aviation safety functions.

INDIANAPOLIS—Today, Congressman André Carson (IN-07) – a Senior Member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee – released a statement in response to the Trump administration’s plan to terminate almost $37 million in clean energy infrastructure grants nationwide, including a $6.7 million grant for the Indianapolis International Airport (IND).
 
Congressman Carson was notified that the Federal Aviation Administration is planning to terminate the Indianapolis grant because it “does not align with the administration’s priorities.” The

WASHINGTON – Congressmen Steve Cohen (TN-9), the former Ranking Member of the Aviation Subcommittee, and Andre Carson (IN-7), a Member of the Aviation Subcommittee, today introduced the Aviation Funding Stability Act, a measure that would allow the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to keep all of its programs running and all of its employees working by drawing from its Airports and Airways Trust Fund during any lapse in typical government appropriations.  The current temporary budget agreement ends September 30.
