As we close out the year, I want to take a moment to reflect on 2025 and how we’ve been able to make a difference for Indianapolis families.
This year brought new challenges with a new administration, but I focused on one core mission: being responsive, accessible, and an effective advocate for the people. I’m proud to share some highlights of this work.
Serving Constituents:
Indianapolis residents are seeing their SNAP benefits delayed because of the Trump administration’s directive to reduce SNAP benefits for November.
It’s an honor to serve as your representative.
Many Indianapolis residents have contacted our office because cuts to Medicaid and food assistance put their lives at risk. I implore my colleagues to think of these women - and 14 million others who stand to lose healthcare because of this heartless bill.
Rep. Carson hosted a Virtual Town Hall where he discussed federal workforce and federal funding cuts. He also discussed DOGE and this chaos this. administration has caused and how Democrats are fighting back. by Dr. Virginia Caine, Director and Chief Medical Officer of the Marion County Public Health Department, joined also to share how federal cuts are impacting the health department.
