Washington, D.C. – "With the U.S. economy shedding over half a million jobs in November and in light of the fact that a total of 1.9 million jobs have been lost this year, the immediate passage of a comprehensive stimulus package is no longer just an option but is instead a vitally needed necessity. In order to provided displaced workers with the assistance they need, Congress must pass a targeted and fiscally responsible package that spurs job growth, extends unemployment benefits, grants tax relief to working Americans and invests in our nation's aging infrastructure.
