Indianapolis, IN – Today, Congressman André Carson will address Amtrak workers who will be picketing at a rally at the State Capitol on the Market Street steps. The rally will start at 12 noon and Congressman Carson is expected to address the crowd shortly after the rally begins.

With unemployment claims rising to their highest levels in three years, it is incumbent that the President work with the Congress in supporting policies that create jobs instead of sending them abroad.
Washington, D.C. – Congressman André Carson today released the following statement regarding the shut down of ATA, an Indianapolis-based airline that employed approximately 2,300 workers nation-wide and 560 in Indianapolis.
"The abrupt and unforeseen shut-down of ATA is a sad and truly unfortunate occurrence. This airline employed many residents from my district and served as an important mode of transportation for individuals traveling to and from the great state of Indiana.

Hyde Global Leadership Against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Reauthorization Act.
