Mr. Chairman, I’m offering my amendment to improve flight safety by requiring the installation of secondary cockpit barriers on new passenger airplanes.

Dear Friend,
Every Hoosier deserves a government that is smart, effective, and knows how to get things done. That’s why I want to make sure that you and your family are well-informed about the resources that my office can provide.
My office includes a team of caseworkers who helped resolve more than 900 requests from Hoosiers seeking assistance with federal agencies in 2015. These requests included help with Social Security benefits, IRS tax refunds, and VA claims which helped save constituents over $71,500.00 last year.

“Tonight, the President laid out his vision of a brighter American future. A future where we continue to create new jobs and work to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to enter the middle-class. A future where students have the means to unlock the doors of a quality education, where workers can still get the skills they need to compete for 21st century jobs, and where our businesses on Main Street can find and afford the tools they need to grow and expand.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. André Carson voted with many of his colleagues in the U.S House of Representatives to adopt, by a vote of 316 to 113, the FY 2016 Omnibus Appropriations bill. This measure funds the government for the remainder of FY 2016.

Washington, DC – Today, Rep. André Carson (D-IN), the first Muslim Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, issued the following statement:
"I am deeply troubled by the anti-Muslim rhetoric used by Donald Trump in his campaign for President. It is disturbing that a man seeking the highest office in the land, would exploit recent terrorist attacks to advance his own political agenda. At a time when incidents of hate and violence against American Muslims are on the rise, these provocative statements are highly irresponsible.
