INDIANAPOLIS— This morning, Congressman André Carson (IN-07) along with Northrop Grumman Corporation, recognized Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis for its support of the U.S. Air Force Global Hawk Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) program.
The Global Hawk is a high-altitude, long endurance unmanned aircraft that provides intelligence and surveillance capabilities for the U.S. Air Force. Each aircraft is powered by a single Rolls-Royce AE 3007H, an engine manufactured in Indianapolis.
INDIANAPOLIS – Congressman Andrė Carson, (IN – 07), U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez, and U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly will visit Pike High School in Indianapolis, a recent Youth CareerConnect grantee,Wednesday, Sept. 3, to see first-hand how students are receiving the skills they need for in-demand jobs.
"Today, as we honor the life of Michael Brown, we must also think about ways to prevent such a tragedy from ever happening again. Like many Americans, I am saddened and frustrated by a criminal justice system that too often fails people of color.
"It is my hope that in the wake of this life cut too short, our country can address the injustices that continue to exist in our communities today. I am committed to working with my colleagues to find common sense solutions to ensure a more tolerant and just society."

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman André Carson is inviting residents and visitors to capture the beauty and uniqueness of Indianapolis by taking part in an online photo contest. Winners will have their submitted photo featured on Congressman Carson's permanent website for the remainder of the year.
