Dear Friend,
Happy Cinco de Mayo!
This week, we're trying something new. Instead of sending out the Carson Courier on Friday, we're moving it to Monday so you can find out what's in store for the week ahead, not just what we accomplished last week.
Drop us a line at jennifer.wagner@mail.house.gov to let us know which day you like best – and offer your suggestions for upcoming editions of the Courier.
Dear Friend,
As a parent, I know it can sometimes feel like a challenge to find rewarding, safe activities for our children during the summer months, and I wanted to make sure we were making it easier for Indianapolis families to find those opportunities.
INDIANAPOLIS – Congressman André Carson, D-Indianapolis, issued the following statement today congratulating the Children's Museum of Indianapolis for receiving 2014 National Medal for Museum and Library Service:
Dear Friend,
It was an honor this week to deliver opening remarks at an active shooter emergency response drill at the Major General Emmett J. Bean Federal Center in Indianapolis, the third largest military facility in the United States. The exercise involved more than 30 local, state and federal agencies and was the first of its kind in the nation. It will become a model for other federal facilities in the country to respond to a potential active shooter or terrorist threat.
