WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Evan Bayh and Congressman André Carson today issued the following joint statement after their meeting with Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Shaun Donovan regarding the Phoenix Apartments, a Section 8-subsidized apartment complex located in Indianapolis.
The troubled, crime-plagued Phoenix Apartments has long-been under scrutiny of local government and community leaders.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Carson issued the following statement after the House of Representatives began consideration of the Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2009.  This legislation includes $4 billion in foreclosure prevention funding, which was included because of the unyielding advocacy of Congressman Carson and his colleagues in the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) on behalf of low-income homeowners.
