There’s Carol Ann, whose Meals on Wheels have already been reduced. She told me, quite simply, “We need food to live.”
Bethany, from the Southside of Indianapolis. She says, “Without Medicaid I would be dead. If Trump cuts Medicaid, I will probably die. I am not alone in this.”

WASHINGTON, DC— Today, Congressman André Carson (IN-07) offered an amendment to protect Amtrak funding during today’s Transportation and Infrastructure Committee reconciliation bill markup.
The Carson amendment would have protected funding for the Amtrak National Network by prohibiting the Secretary of Transportation from rescinding its grant funding or from adding any new terms or conditions beyond what Congress has already directed. The amendment did not pass.

Washington, DC — Today, Ranking Member Jim Himes (CT-04) led all Democrats on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence in a letter to Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, calling for the Intelligence Community to conduct an independent investigation into the Signal group chat in which participants discussed detailed plans for an impending U.S. military attack on Houthi terrorists in Yemen.
WASHINGTON, DC—Representative André Carson (IN-07) has re-introduced H.R. 2411, the UNRWA Funding Emergency Restoration Act, with Rep. Pramila Jayapal (WA-07), Rep. Jan Schakowsky (IL-09), and Senator Peter Welch (VT). This bill will end the congressionally and administratively mandated pause on funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
