Carson Statement on Magnus-Stinson Confirmation
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman André Carson today joined General Services Agency (GSA) Administrator Martha Johnson at the Major General Emmett J. Bean Federal Center to highlight a nearly $37 million investment that will create new jobs and generate savings through clean energy technology.

INDIANAPOLIS - Congressman André Carson will join the General Services Agency (GSA) Administrator Martha Johnson, Indianapolis businesses and workers on Friday, June 4 at the Major General Emmett J. Bean Federal Center to discuss economic and job impacts spurred by Recovery Act investments in Indianapolis.
"National Small Business Week recognizes the unique impact made by entrepreneurs and small business owners.
"This weekend Americans will pause to recognize our fellow citizens who devoted their lives to the service of the United States. There is much that is owed to these men and women in uniform who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. President Abraham Lincoln called this sacrifice ‘the last full measure of devotion.'

"I was deeply saddened and troubled to hear about the violence that broke out aboard a civilian flotilla bound for Gaza. The international community must move quickly to gather the facts surrounding this tragedy and prevent heightened tensions from leading to further loss of life.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman André Carson voted today to approve H.R. 5116, the America COMPETES Reauthorization Act of 2010. This key measure will create jobs and support research and development to ensure America remains a global economic leader.
COMPETES will double funding for basic scientific research over 10 years, as well as establishes an innovative technology federal loan program. These loan guarantees will help small- and medium-sized manufacturers stay competitive be increasing access to capital and encouraging investment in innovation.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Helping to ensure that our military is fully prepared for threats and challenges across the globe, Congressman André Carson today helped pass the National Defense Authorization Act.
Hundreds of qualified troops have been removed from service because of this flawed policy. Today we have finally taken an important step to address not only an important equal rights issue, but a national security issue.
