Indianapolis, IN – On Saturday, April 26th, Congressman André Carson, Congressman Danny K. Davis, and Indiana State Representative Bill Crawford, will participate in a forum on the recent signing into law of the Second Chance Act. The event will start at 1 p.m. and be held at the Forest Manor Multi-Service Center on 5603 E. 38th Street. Veteran broadcaster, Amos Brown, will moderate the panel discussion.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Andre Carson today released the following statement on Earth Day:
"Earth Day allows us as Americans and inhabitants of this beautiful planet to stand united in our fight against the perils of global warming, greenhouse gas emissions, and pollution. In order to secure a clean and pristine environment for future generations, it is incumbent upon all Americans and industries to do their part as it pertains to recycling, conserving energy, and using eco-friendly products.

"President Bush's insistent on sending the Colombian Free Trade Agreement to Congress for a vote at a time of such economic uncertainty is irresponsible and counter-productive. With unemployment claims rising to their highest levels in three years, it is incumbent that the President work with the Congress in supporting policies that create jobs instead of sending them abroad.
Washington, D.C. – Congressman André Carson today released the following statement regarding the shut down of ATA, an Indianapolis-based airline that employed approximately 2,300 workers nation-wide and 560 in Indianapolis.
"The abrupt and unforeseen shut-down of ATA is a sad and truly unfortunate occurrence. This airline employed many residents from my district and served as an important mode of transportation for individuals traveling to and from the great state of Indiana.
