U.S. House Passes Payroll Tax Cut Extension, Carson Expresses Reservations
The U.S. House of Representatives today passed the conference agreement on H.R. 3630, the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act. The bill - which extends the payroll tax cut for 160 million Americans, ensures tens of millions of seniors can continue to see the doctor of their choice under Medicare, and extends partial unemployment benefits - passed the House by a vote of 293-132.

Congressman André Carson Announces Grant for Local Neighborhood Center
INDIANAPOLIS – Congressman André Carson today announced that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded a $6.3 million grant to the Fay Biccard Glick Neighborhood Center at Crooked Creek on Indianapolis' northwest side. The grant request was also cosponsored by Light of the World Christian Church, Inc.

Carson Statement on Legislation Currently Before the U.S. House of Representatives
WASHINGTON, D.C. - This week, the U.S. House of Representatives will consider H.R. 3835, a bill that will extend the limitation on pay for Members of Congress and Federal employees. Beginning Wednesday, Congressman André Carson (IN-7) will be joining his constituents in Indianapolis for numerous community events surrounding the Super Bowl and will be unable to vote on this measure. His statement is below:
