Carson to attend reopening of indianapolis foundry
Company, Labor and Community Partner to Create Jobs Along Brookville Road
INDIANAPOLIS – Congressman André Carson will join executives, workers and community leaders Wednesday to celebrate the reopening of the former Navistar foundry located on Indianapolis' eastside. The foundry, now operated by PurePOWER Technologies, employs 120 workers.

Carson statement on march jobs report
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman André Carson released the following statement today in response to the U.S. Department of Labor's report that the U.S. economy added 216,000 new jobs in March, dropping the unemployment rate to 8.8 percent. Over the past four months the unemployment rate has fallen by a full percentage point, the largest such decline since 1984.
