CARSON SUBMITS ACADEMY NOMINATIONS FOR 7TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT
WASHINGTON D.C. - Congressman André Carson today announced his military academy nominations for the 7th Congressional District. The 12 young men and women selected by Carson will now be considered for acceptance in the Class of 2015 for one of the United States Service Academies.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman André Carson released the following statement on the passing of Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officer David Moore:
"The collective heart of our beloved city sank today when Officer David Moore passed away this morning. After answering his community's call to service, Officer Moore is now moving on to a higher calling, as difficult as it may be for all of us see him go.

Mr. Speaker - This weekend in Indianapolis, we were tragically reminded of the sacrifices our law enforcement officers make in order to protect our families.
Officer David Moore of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was shot four times on Sunday morning during a traffic stop, and he's now fighting for his life in a local hospital.
