INDIANAPOLIS - As the August 25th Central Indiana Job Fair approaches, Congressman André Carson today encouraged attendees to get prepared for the event by participating in workshops offered by the staff and faculty at Ivy Tech Community College.
INDIANAPOLIS - As state and local budget reductions loom, Congressman André Carson will join his colleagues in the House and return to Washington next week to vote on a bill that will provide billions of dollars in aid to states to prevent massive job cuts-including the layoff of more than 140,000 teachers.

Indiana Ranks Among Top 10 for New Hires
INDIANAPOLIS - A federal tax incentive program has put Indiana among the top ten states in the nation for new hires, Congressman André Carson said today.
Citing a recent report released by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Carson said nearly 173,000 Hoosiers have been hired over the last five months, setting up a number of Indiana companies to secure tax breaks for putting unemployed workers back on the job.
