For the past few decades, the debate over our dependence on fossil fuels has centered largely on serious but long-term consequences. WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman André Carson will join U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis to announce a Community-Based Job Training Grant for a Central Indiana organization.
The award is part of $125 million in grants to 41 community colleges and organizations throughout the country. This was the fifth and final round of Community-Based Job Training Grant awards, with winners being chosen from among 323 applications received in response to a competition first announced on March 15.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Aiming to strengthen the transparency and disclosure in federal campaigns, Congressman André Carson today voted to approve the DISCLOSE Act.
The DISCLOSE Act requires corporations, organizations and special interest groups to stand by their political advertising just like a candidate for office does. CEOs will need to identify themselves in their advertisements, and corporations and organizations will be required to disclose their political expenditures.
