CARSON VOTES TO APPROVE DREAM ACT
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman André Carson today voted to approve the DREAM Act, which will create a pathway to citizenship for children of undocumented immigrants.
This bipartisan legislation puts forward a decade-long process for a limited group of young people who were brought to the United States as children and have grown up in the country.

GROUNDBREAKING SET FOR ST. CLAIR SENIOR APARTMENTS
Construction begins on project that received funding from the Recovery Act
INDIANAPOLIS - Just months after the project was nearly halted due to a longstanding federal lien on the property, the groundbreaking for the new St. Clair Senior Apartments will take place Thursday at 10 a.m.
Congressman André Carson was able to work with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to withdraw its lien in order to clear the way for the project's construction.

HOUSE APPROVES CHILD NUTRITION ACT
Carson votes for bill to make significant improvements to child nutrition programs
WASHINGTON D.C. - In an effort to help children gain the nutrition they need to be healthy and successful, Congressman André Carson today voted to approve the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act.
The legislation will provide healthier meals to 31 million children with over $300 million being sent to states - including $7.8 million to Indiana - to improve the nutritional quality of meals served in schools.

CARSON SELECTED FOR LEADERSHIP POST
WASHINGTON D.C. - Congressman André Carson today was selected to serve as a Regional Whip for the Democratic Caucus in the upcoming 112th Congress.
As a whip, Congressman Carson will assist House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) in counting votes and rallying member support for legislation. Congressman Carson will be responsible for whipping votes among Democratic members from Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.
