Democrats’ Investing in America agenda is paying off for thousands of hardworking families.
Thanks to legislation we passed when Democrats last held the majority, middle class Americans are benefitting from cost savings. Unfortunately, partisan politics and in-fighting has created a standstill in Congress this year.
We have so much more work to do, but it’s important to acknowledge the programs that are making an impact right now so we can continue to invest in progress and invest in America.
Each year, I fight to bring federal funding directly to Indianapolis organizations making a positive impact on our community. This program, called Community Project Funding, has helped our roads, our public transit, our schools, and our families.
This year, I’m proud to announce securing $10 million to worthy projects throughout Indianapolis. Our city is full of individuals and organizations making a difference – and this funding will boost their efforts and shape a stronger, more equitable place for all.
In March of 2010, the Affordable Care Act, or “Obamacare,” was signed into law. 14 years later, it’s still making an impact.
Happy International Women’s Day and Women's History Month! Women have always shaped our society, but their accomplishments are often minimized or excluded from history. I know Americans are feeling the strain. But the good news is that the economy is getting better. Democrats are working hard to provide more financial freedom for working families, and making sure that you can save money on everyday items right now.
You asked, Democrats delivered.
One of the most common problems I hear about from constituents is the high cost of healthcare and prescription drugs. Previously, taking on Big Pharma seemed like an impossibility. But thanks to President Biden and Democrats’ leadership, we’re making real change that you can see.
