Today is the start of open enrollment for healthcare.gov – and thanks to Democrats’ work last Congress, Americans can save more money than ever on their health insurance. 

Winter can mean dangerously cold temperatures for many people. It can also mean households have to face an impossible choice: paying for home heating and cooling or paying for other household essentials, like food and medical care.

For years, the price of health care services and prescription drugs have soared, with little relief for working families. That’s why progressives in Congress and the Biden administration have been working hard to lower health care costs for those who need it most. We’re already seeing the effects of that fight.

September 15 through October 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the history and contributions of Hispanic Americans. This month recognizes individuals with roots in Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America – a group rich in diversity, and united by common desires. 

It’s hard to forget that devasting day.
